The ministry of Barnabas is paradigmatic for all ministries at Living Hope.

Bar – son; nabasencouragement. Barnabas means son of encouragement.

Parakaleo: para – alongside; kaleo – to call.

One who speaks from alongside . . .

A minister of Jesus Christ is an individual who is able to see where people are, where they need to be, and is willing to make sacrifices to help them get there.

Barnabas mentioned 28 times in Acts and 5 times in Paul.

1 Peter 4:10 – Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

A minister of the gospel is someone who is able to recognize grace deficits and is able to facilitate the release of that grace into the life of another.

  4. Repentance/Forgiveness

  6. Calling/Appointment
  7. Healing/Deliverance
